Hello. My name is Lincoln Spector (and yes, that's my real name).

I'm an award-winning journalist who writes about entertainment, culture, and technology. My advice column and blog, Answer Line, appears in PC World. I'm also a frequent contributor to TechHive and Windows Secrets. My articles have also appeared in The New York Times, The Washington Post, Consumer Digest, Small Business Computing, Home Office Computing, Oakland City Magazine, CNet, Business 2.0, Windows Secrets, Technologizer, and InfoWorld.

From 1986 through 2008, I wrote Gigglebytes, which I believe was the first technology-oriented humor column. Over its long life, Gigglebytes appeared in various magazines around the world.
I also maintain a locally-oriented cinema blog, Bayflicks, which covers  film festivals and specialty cinemas in the San Francisco Bay Area.
